6.7. Pico

Kioskmode

When you install your kiosk cap on your Pico for the first time you have to switch on Developermode. Then you can install your* app*. If you App update you have to uninstall the previous version to avoid conflicts.

Enable Developermode

1. To access the Goblin Device Settings menu, click the “Confirm” and “Decrease Volume” buttons together to enter the 2D Settings menu.
2. Select About from the Settings menu. Click the PUI version eight times with the controller.
3. Select the developer or the advanced options that are now available in the menu.
4. Scroll down and select “About device”.
5. Press the PUI version 10 times.
6. Return to the previous menu and select the developer options that are now visible.
7. Enable the developer options and enable USB debugging.

Install Kiosk App

1. Download Apk to the Micro SD card of the Pico
2. Select and install apk via the file manager
3. Then switch to the 2D settings of the Pico, click the buttons “Confirm” and “Decrease Volume” together.
4. Navigate to “Choose Homescreen”: 2D settings – Application – PicoVRlauncher – Choose home screen;

Kiosk App Update

1. Navigate to “Choose Homescreen”: 2D settings – Application – PicoVRlauncher – Choose home screen;
2. Choose PicoVRlauncher as Home screen again
3. Navigate to the apps in the 2D settings
4. Uninstall the kioskmodeapp you want to update
5. Then continue with “Install App”.
